Those who find it too hot to wander through the countryside can use a combination of sports and water. Water sports are mainly concentrated around the Nové Mlýny reservoir. This system of three dams was built in the 1970s to prevent annual flooding.

Refreshment in the quarry at Mariánské mýlny (Janičův vrch quarry)

The flooded quarry is basically right behind Svatý kopeček, where limestone was mined a few years ago. In order to protect nature, the quarry has a limited capacity of one hundred people and an entrance fee has been introduced.

Mikulov swimming pool

Mikulov municipal swimming pool is open in the summer from 30.6. until 31.8. every day from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. There is a swimming pool, children's wading pool, water slides and some refreshments. More info here: zde.

Aqualand Moravia

You can go to aqualand Moravia in any weather. Here you can find almost everything you can imagine in an aqua park. In the summer, you can refresh yourself in the outdoor pools, and if the weather isn't right, you can treat yourself to a whole day in the wellness area. Laa thermal baths

Go to the town of Laa en der Thaya in Austria and experience a day full of rest and relaxation at the Laa Spa. The healing spring "Laa Thermal Nord I", a sodium-chloride-iodine-mineral thermal spring, feeds all the pools in Therme Laa. The water has a temperature of 42 °C and a pH value of 7.36, which is gentle on the skin. In addition to the swimming pools, you can also enjoy the sauna world here. If you want to enjoy a little more adrenaline on the water, the windsurfing and kiteboarding school in Pasohlávky is ideal for you. In the area you will also find mini golf, a tennis court, beach volleyball and sports trampolines.

Yacht club Dyje can be found near the Lower (Novomlýnská) reservoir. Here you can try windsurfing, yachting or kitesurfing. Sports equipment rentals with paddle boats and catamarans are available.

You can try wakeboarding here from April to October, and every day from June to August. For those who have never tried this sport, it is possible to pay for a lesson with a trainer.
